1. Assume total responsibility for Manufacturer Refractory Technology, which includes but not limited to these aspects: application, procurement, production, quality assurance, product development, and troubleshooting.
2. Provide “Total Refractory Solution” in the various fields of industries and activities to Chairman and the Management.
3. Responsible in continuously improving the production process, product quality control and assurance, and application technology of the refractory products.
4. Provide guidance to the procurement department to enhance the quality of Raw Materials, either in sourcing suitable raw materials or additives, identify alternative or replacement raw materials and additives, or improving product composition to optimize raw material usage and costing.
5. Professionally handle and support Specific Technical Activities and Requests (local and overseas) which may include personally visiting these site areas and provide technical presentations and demonstrations.
6. Support in Sales and Project Proposals in the technical and technological aspects of refractory products. This will include the product recommendation, application suitability, and other development which may be required to complete any proposals, saled bid or tenders.
7. Work together with the QC and Lab Department to improve and maintain a practical, professional, and comprehensive testing procedures, parameters, equipments, documentations, and other related activities to ensure product quality and performance.
8. Cooperate with the Lab for research and developement on effective refractory products for special product requirements, new products, product improvements, and competitor compatible products.
9. Lead the efforts for product troubleshooting, in identifying root cause for product quality failures, customer complaints, and other issues which jeopardizes product quality and performance.
10. Proactive in the pursuit of product and technology development and innovation to maintain the edge and advantage in the refractory industry.
11. Follow up closely on all task and assignments to full completion, including documented processes, testings, findings, recommendations, and technical reporting. Tasks to be comprehensively reported to the Chairman and the Management on a regular basis.

1. Candidate must posses at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Ceramics and/or Refractory Science.
2. Practical knowledge in physical and organic chemistry is a requirement.
3. Fluent in spoken and written English.
4. At least 3 years of working experience in Refractory Development and Testing; OR at least 5 years of working experience in Ceramics Research and Testing are required for this position.
5. Possess technical skills in planning, reasoning, experimenting, documenting, and reporting.
6. High literacy in computer softwares and other aided devices to assist in daily activities.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Knowledge in mineralogy, material and chemical characteristics, identification, testing, and reactions.
9. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and result-oriented environment. Leadership qualities are desirable.
10. Able to work independently, logically, and systematically with minimum supervision.
